Italian giant seeks to sign Hummels

One of Italy's top clubs is actively pursuing the veteran German star Mats Hummels during this summer's transfer market.

According to the German newspaper Bild, AC Milan is keen on acquiring the veteran German center-back to bolster their ranks.

Hummels' contract with Dortmund expires this summer, and he has decided not to renew it, opting to leave on a free transfer.

Hummels had an impressive season with Dortmund, reaching the UEFA Champions League final but losing to Real Madrid.
