According to a report from Spanish media, the European associations have filed a lawsuit against the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) due to match scheduling.

As reported by journalist Arantxa Rodríguez, the European associations are questioning the legitimacy of FIFA's decisions regarding unilateral creation of the international match calendar.

The source added that the European associations are particularly concerned about FIFA's decision to establish and schedule the 2025 Club World Cup under its new system.

Several coaches have criticized the high frequency of matches and tournaments, which poses a risk to players.
