The 48th edition of the Copa America is approaching, set to be held in the United States from June 20 to Argentinian star Lionel Messi has participated in 34 Copa America matches throughout his career, scoring 13 goals, making him the fourth-highest scorer in the tournament's history.

The Brazilian legend Zizinho and Argentine legend Norberto Méndez currently hold the record for the most goals scored in Copa America history, each with 17 goals.

In second place is Peruvian legend Teodoro Fernández with 15 goals, followed by Paolo Guerrero of Peru, Chile's Eduardo Vargas, and Uruguay's Héctor Scarone, each with 14 goals.
